About the Client
Black Cobra is an Indian building materials brand offering products such as plywood, laminates, PVC and WPC boards, door frames and flush doors. Its laminate portfolio includes decorative designs and finishes developed for residential and commercial interiors.
Campaign Background
Black Cobra was participating in IMTEX at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre. Located on Tumkur Road, BIEC attracts exhibitors, business visitors and industry professionals during major trade exhibitions such as IMTEX.
The brand wanted to extend its presence beyond the exhibition venue and create stronger visibility among people travelling to and from the event. To achieve this, we planned a extensive auto hood branding as a high-mobility outdoor advertising format.
Objective
Our auto rickshaw branding campaign aimed to:
- Build awareness for Black Cobra during the IMTEX exhibition
- Increase brand visibility around BIEC and Tumkur Road
- Reach exhibition visitors, commuters and local audiences
- Create repeated brand exposure across key approach routes
- Support the brand’s participation at the exhibition
Target Audience
The campaign primarily targeted IMTEX visitors, exhibitors, business owners, dealers, contractors, architects, interior professionals and other industry stakeholders travelling around the exhibition venue.

It also reached daily commuters and residents across the surrounding areas, helping Black Cobra gain visibility beyond the immediate exhibition audience.
Strategy and Execution
We selected a fleet of 200 autorickshaws was selected for the campaign. Each vehicle carried Black Cobra branding on its hood, turning the autos into moving outdoor media units.
The autos were deployed in and around BIEC, Tumkur Road and nearby locations that experienced regular movement during the exhibition. The placement strategy focused on roads and neighbourhoods used by visitors travelling to the venue.
Why we chose auto hood branding for the client
Auto hood branding offered strong street-level visibility for the client, with continuous movement across the target area. Unlike advertising restricted to a single fixed location, the branded autos carried the campaign through multiple routes, traffic junctions, commercial areas and passenger pick-up points.

The large fleet helped create repeated brand impressions throughout the campaign. The consistent use of Black Cobra’s identity across all 200 autos also ensured uniform communication and easy brand recognition.
Outcome
With the campaign, we were able to establish a strong mobile branding presence around the IMTEX venue and its surrounding areas.
By deploying 200 branded autos, we extended Black Cobra’s exhibition visibility beyond its stall and reached audiences throughout their journey to and from BIEC. The activity helped the brand maintain a visible presence across important roads, traffic points and commercial zones near the exhibition.
While no quantified reach or recall data was recorded, the scale and concentrated deployment created sustained brand exposure during the exhibition period.
Conclusion
Our auto hood branding services for Black Cobra demonstrated how transit media can strengthen a brand’s presence around a major industry exhibition.
By combining exhibition participation with a focused outdoor activation, we helped the brand to remain visible both inside and outside the event environment. The deployment of 200 branded autos created a wider awareness layer around IMTEX and helped Black Cobra connect with business audiences across the BIEC and Tumkur Road corridor.
